GetBundi Onboards TechSis 2026 Cohort as Training Commences

GetBundi
has officially onboarded the 2026 cohort of TechSis, its flagship digital
skills program designed to equip African women with in-demand skills for the
digital economy.

The virtual
onboarding ceremony, held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, marked the commencement
of four months of intensive online training in Content Creation, Digital
Marketing, Data Analytics, and Video Editing.

Speaking at
the ceremony, the keynote speaker, Ms. Petronella Chizera, CEO of Asher
Zebulun, challenged participants to look beyond securing jobs and use their
newly acquired skills to create opportunities and solve problems within their
communities.

“Your
digital skills become truly valuable when they solve real problems in your
community,” she said.

Guest
speaker Dr. Ijeoma Emeagi, Director of Career Development Services at the
Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, encouraged participants to embrace continuous
learning and intentionally build their professional identities.

“Never stop
learning. The end of training is the beginning of your professional journey.
Build a digital footprint you’re proud of because your reputation starts long
before the interview,” she said.

TechSis
2026 provides beneficiaries with free training, while certification is optional
at a fee of US$10 for participants who successfully complete the program and
wish to receive a certificate.

GetBundi
launched TechSis in 2023 as part of its commitment to reducing Africa’s digital
gender gap and expanding women's participation in the digital economy.

The program
has grown steadily since inception. Its first cohort trained 500 women in
Coding in 2023, followed by 1,500 women in Web Development and Data Analytics
in 2024 and 1,500 women in Data Analytics and Cybersecurity in 2025. In 2026,
the program targeted 3,000 African women, bringing the cumulative number of
women targeted through TechSis to 6,000.

Speaking at
the launch of TechSis in 2023, GetBundi Founder Osita Oparaugo said the
initiative aims to create sustainable economic opportunities for African women.

“Our
mission is to equip African women with the digital skills they need to drive
innovation, secure meaningful employment, and achieve economic independence. We
are creating pathways for African women to enter and lead in the digital
economy,” Oparaugo said.

Beyond
training, GetBundi is also working to connect skilled graduates to employment
opportunities. Through its partnership with Doballi, a Dubai-based remote
talent recruitment platform, some TechSis graduates have already secured
opportunities with international companies.

GetBundi is
an African education technology platform that delivers STEM education and
digital skills training, designed to prepare African learners for the future of
