GetBundi Education Foundation is registered as an Incorporated trustee in Nigeria.
Our mission is to support the promotion of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and English Language for post-primary school students and Digital Skills education for the youths across Africa. We focus mostly on those who are potentially left behind, especially girls, internally displaced students, refugees, and the disabled. Our goal is to make STEM and Digital Skills learning across Africa accessible to everyone using technology.
The education system in Africa uses outdated methods and is not preparing the youths for the future. Africa must embrace new methods of learning, especially e-learning and there must be a shift towards science and technology to build an Africa beyond aid.
The African Union (AU) under their Agenda 2063, has as Aspiration 1: “A Prosperous Africa, based on Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development”, and points out one of the ways to achieve this, under Goal 2, is by having "well-educated citizens and skills revolution underpinned by Science, Technology, and Innovation".
These goals are brilliant on paper, however, for the African Union, and Africa as a whole, to actualize and achieve these goals, there is a need for public-private partnerships, support from continental and international non-governmental organizations, donor agencies, and strategic partnerships with companies and platforms, such as GetBundi Education Technology and GetBundi Education Foundation.
In Nigeria for example, there are no secondary schools in 5,000 communities within walkable distances – UNICEF. How can kids in these communities compete in today's world?
Africa’s development depends on how the continent manages its exponential youth. With the right support and partnerships, GetBundi Education Foundation and GetBundi STEM & Digital Skills platform will support millions of African youths each year in STEM, English language, and Digital Skills learning online.
GetBundi STEM Education:
The STEM education category is curriculum based and is purposed for six (6) years of post-primary school and covers subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, ICT, Data Processing, Biology, Further Maths, etc. The platform also has three (3) years of revision for competitive examinations for year 12, about 4,000 multiple choice questions taken from over 600 topics taught under 117 academic terms as progress assessments for students, with daily live tutorial and monthly live question and answer sessions.
GetBundi Digital Skill Education:
GetBundi Digital Skill Education is designed to address the shortage of qualified professionals who are proficient in digital technologies, and other relevant areas that can impede businesses’ ability to harness the full potential of the digital landscape. Our curriculum is designed as per IEEE and CAM standards and benchmarked against the best in the world. Our faculty team has diversified expertise covering all computer science and information technology areas.
With over 2,000 hours of original and quality digital skill courses with projects and assignments created by us, delivered through a robustly engineered platform by an American company rated highly by Clutch and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). GetBundi is built to scale and can take millions of users on 21 live online classes simultaneously.
Our courses include and not limited to: Web Development: Coding: Artificial Intelligence: Data Science: Data Analytics: Video Editing: Graphic Design: Cyber Security: Machine Learning: Excell: Digital Marketing: We have professional courses delivered in pidgin English too.
There is GSM coverage across Africa, but it is not enough as internet penetration is still low and data expensive. To mitigate this, we reached an understanding with a satellite internet provider with nearly 85% presence in the continent to deliver our resources using their satellite solutions in areas with poor internet infrastructure around Africa. There are other community ways of using our platform which has become very useful in remote areas.
We seek support from individuals, local and international agencies, state and federal governments, donor agencies, NGOs, and Foundations to support us as we target to support millions of post primary school kids across Africa and to upskill 10 million African workforce by 2034.
Donor(s) can choose a country, state, particular school(s), whether private, government, or missionary, or less-privileged kids as recipients, and we will deliver the resources accordingly. With as little as US$50 you can support one student to learn STEM subjects in a year or US$300 for a youth to learn any digital skill course in 6 months.
The GetBundi platform has a robust and transparent platform for effective monitoring of student’s activities as well as displaying performance status real time. Donor(s) can monitor student the performances of their beneficiaries no matter how many they are in real time and keep in touch with them.
